# 01b) Game server configuration

#### Nest Configuration

The Nest Configuration is where you specify *what* type of game server you want to create. In this case, I'll use `Minecraft` as my Nest and `Paper` as my Egg.

Do **not** set a checkmark in the "Skip Egg Install Script", as we need to install the server, since it's the first time we launch a Minecraft/Paper server.

#### Docker Configuration

Here you can choose the Java version. For this tutorial, I'm going to keep it on Java 17.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://guides.engels.zip/using-pterodactyl/01-setting-up-a-game-server/01b-game-server-configuration.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
